Math Plugin for Richtext Editor
About
To support mathematical formulas in CoreMedia Studio RichText properties the Math Plugin for CKEditor 5 is available as a contribution for the CoreMedia Blueprint workspace as an extension.
The PlugIn will add an additional button in the CoreMedia Studio to the richtext property detailText of CMArticle. Also, shortcuts are available to open the interface for adding mathematical formulas.
- Simple Interface, written in TypeScript
- TeX syntax for formulas
- Output types: script or span
- Shortcuts: CTRL+M or “$$”
- Supports MathJax, KaTex, custom typesettings engines
- Adapted to CKEditor 5 version 46.1.1
For persistence a span element is added including the “math-tex” class for identifying into the CoreMedia RichText.
To render the formulas on delivery side additional customizations are necessary. For example you can transform the richtext markup into MathML tags/elements. In case of headless delivery the CoreMedia Headless Server could be easily adjusted for transformation
