The 23 degrees integration was developed by IBM iX in Berlin, Germany.

Informative, dynamic graphics based on statistical data are created using the 23° platform. The integration is an extension in CoreMedia Studio for editorial processes to seamlessly integrate these statistical graphics into a website. Visitors to the website can then explore interactively these charts and infographics.

During integration, the work of the editorial team has a high priority and maintenance should be as simple, time-saving and robust as possible. For this purpose, a new document type was introduced, which provides all relevant information of a 23degrees graphic: URL, Embed code, preview image, etc.

The respective information of a graphic is loaded directly into the Studio by integrating the 23degrees API, which greatly simplifies and speeds up the work of the editorial team. Accidental copy & paste errors are also avoided. 

Editors only have to enter a so-called slug ID in the Studio, which is the unique ID for the graphic, and all the information for the corresponding graphic is imported into the Studio by pressing an import button. 

The editorial team can enrich this document with further content, e.g. tags and related content, and link to it on the website. This document type is also integrated in the search.

Installation

Integration takes place via a Studio plugin and corresponding content-server extension in order to provide the new document type. 

It is provided and installed as a CoreMedia Extension.

Requirements

CoreMedia Version 10, 11 or 12.

A valid account at 23° Portal https://app.23degrees.io and an API-Token.
